Gyroscopic Effects on Bicycle wheels. Demo from Mr. Herbert's Science Class.

Challenging my buddy Jeff to balance a bicycle wheel (at the axle on his finger), had him perplexed till I showed him how. In this simple gyroscopic experiment, I demonstrate how gyros work on a much more visible size than most gyros, making it a perfect science class experiment. It also demonstrates the theory that most bicycles may knife edge a bit to the left at speed, however they will also get more gyroscopically stable with that speed. The pull however is slight and you would not notice it. This gyroscopic effect is prevalent on all vehicles with wheels.

My Dad ( a science and Math teacher in his lifetime) showed me this experiment when I was 9 years old. I never forgot it and pass it on in his honor. Thanks Dad.

Find Vince's Balloon.

This Thanksgiving, the family got together at our place and we had quite the day. Vince wanted to "build something", so this is what we did. We also "put a note in a bottle" by launching a Helium Balloon. If you find it, you will win a ~NightFlyyer~ T Shirt.

Lost your M.F. Pads? Windshield Buddy Mods by: NightFlyyer

Many folks have this tool called a Windshield Buddy. It is an arm that makes it easy to clean steep windshields inside. Not expensive, but the pads seem to get dirty fast and then get lost. Finding a way to make new pads cheaper and with what I had on hand, I decided to show you how I found I could make my own.

How I "Hang" my Air Swimmer in my workshop by ~NightFlyyer~

From what I have heard, many of you will be getting Air Swimmers for Christmas.
Since having the Clownfish version, I find my "Ellen" just drifting around room to room and when she looses her buoyancy, she drops somewhere. I wanted to find an easy and safe way to hang her, and this is it. It also works well in the car for transporting her.

Could this be a real Meteorite?

*More INFO. Not Tar, no Volcanoes around, no smell, and no taste. Can't break off a a chip with pliers either. My Brother In Law, Ike gave me this stone and told me it was found in a field here long ago. Well, I have looked at it, others have looked at it, but there seems no conclusive evidence either way of what it is. It is heavy for it's size, stone like, and it is Glossy looking under a flash. It has no magnetic properties. There are places where it looks like small holes or openings and some places where the stripes and dots are raised.
A geologist may figure it out, but I am not sending it out anywhere. Good luck with the guesses. When I find out for sure what it is, I will post it. In the mean time, "Meteorite" seems to fit the description well. Voices impersonated.

NitroPlanes ( Night Mods ) Hawk 3 Dee.

My daytime Hawk 3D becomes the NightHawk in the dark, where I am a lot.
I also fly in it. Well by request from a subscriber, I was asked to put lights on my NitroPlanes Hawk 3D. I had an extra set of Lights from AfterDarkLed.com so decided to use them. Only one Plus (+) shaped assembly was required to get 3 colors. They work great on 7.4 volts, even though they are rated 9-11.1. Volts.
It was easy to mount the lights as you can see. I am running an 850 mAh battery for a bit longer run time ,but the lights barely use 10 mah, so the stock 600 mAh battery is just fine for 10 minutes of flight.

Also note, the Hawk 3d comes with everything you need for about $69 except the TX and RX.
3 fast servos, ESC/BEC combo, 600mAh LiPo, hardware, both tapes, decals, Prop and Prop-saver, and a C-20 2050 KV brushless motor.
This is quite a value pack!
I really do like this plane, and it has easily become a favorite of mine that I can fly anywhere….day or night.

There are many ways to do this, but this is my way. Great fun can be had with Micro Helicopters. If your bored with everyday flying, here is a "Pedestal Pad " spot landing contest idea of mine and a way to help keep your micro heli from sliding around or falling off causing damage. Simply make some rubber skid plates. I'll show you how and demonstrate them on 3 helicopters, including the Blade MCX 300, the MSR, and the MCx2.
